Today, Glendale College helps nearly 26,000 credit students meet their educational goals by providing the first two years of college, A.A. and A.S. degrees, career training, certificates in vocational areas, skill upgrades, and educational development. Additionally, the college helps another 15,000 continuing education students meet their goals in the areas of basic skills, GED preparation, lifelong learning, vocational training, and communication skills.
The Glendale College Foundation plays an important role in that process. Last year, the Foundation contributed more than $230,000 to Glendale College, over half of which went to scholarships for deserving students. In addition, the Foundation has funded upgrades to athletic facilities, purchased furniture and multi-media equipment for classrooms and supported a number of campus programs and departments.
