The following is a list majors and their requirements to satisfy the Associate in Arts degree for Glendale Community College. Students need to complete one of the majors or one of the areas of emphasis listed below and the General Education Requirements to earn an Associate in Arts degree. Students are required to complete 60 semester units to receive an Associate in Arts degree.
Please note that all courses used to satisfy the major for the Associate in Arts degree must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.
The following is a list of the Areas of Emphasis and their requirements that satisfy the Associate in Arts degree for Glendale Community College. Please note all courses used to satisfy the area of emphasis for the Associate in Arts degree must be completed with a grade of “C” or better. Students transferring to the University of California, the California State University, or a private college or university are advised to see their counselor or Transfer Center for additional transfer requirements.
The Associate in Arts for Transfer (AA-T) or the Associate in Science for Transfer (AS-T) is intended for students who plan to complete a bachelor's degree in a similar major at a CSU campus. Students completing these degrees (AA-T or AS-T) are guaranteed admission to the CSU system, but not to a particular campus or major. Students should consult with a counselor when planning to complete these degrees for more information on university admission and transfer requirements.
