CROSS COUNTRY

    Glendale College men and women's teams women's team in the state meet November 21 in Fresno. The Lady Vaqs finished second at state last year and won their fourth consecutive Southern California Championship on Nov. 6 and thye men finished third.

 WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL

    The Lady Vaqs improved their record to 8-3 in the Western State Conference Southern Division and 12-9 overall after splitting a pair of matches last week. Thet beat fell to Canyons 3-0 in games last Tuesday by the scores of 25-17, 25-16 and 25-16 and then beat Citrus Friday 3-0 in games by the scores of 25-17, 25-16 and 25-19.

    In the win over Citrus, Ashleigh Diller paced the Lady Vaqs with 10 kills and Alyssa Rosca added 24 assists and two team blocks. Ashliy Veliz added four servicer aces and 10 digs, Jessica Lavarez had eight digs and two solo blocks and Roxanne Domines had two team blocks.

    Glendale has a bye Tuesday and concludes the regular season at Bakersfield Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

WOMEN'S SOCCER

    Glendale lost to Canyons 2-0 last Tuesday and tied Pierce 1-1 Friday to finishe the regular season 6-8-6 overall and 4-6-4 in WSC play.

FOOTBALL

    The Vaqueros concluded the regular season with a 38--22 loss to Pasadena last Saturday to finish the season to 4-6 overall and 1-5 in the Southern California Football Association Southern Division.

    Willie Youngblood paced the offense with 101 yards rushing on 26 carries. Steve Miller passed for 162 yards on 12 of 33 and one touchdowns. Euedell Clayton caught three passes for 39 yards and one score. Marcus Mullins had 10 tackles and Kalii Robinson had eight.

MEN'S SOCCER

    The Vaqueros finished the season by splitting a pair of last week last week to finish the season 5-14-2 overall and 3-10-1 in WSC play. They beat Citrus 1-0 last Tuesday and fell to mission 4-1 last Friday. 

MEN'S BASKETBALL

    Glendale dropped to 2-1 with a 61-58 loss to Pierce College last Friday night. Daniel Palmer led the Vaqs with 13 points and three steals and Deonte Wyatt and Jose Garcia each had 10 points. Wyatt added seven rebounds and Garcia had four assists.

    The Vaqueros host San Diego Mesa College Monday Nov. 23 in the Verdugo Gym at 5:30 p.m.
