Mrs. Anita Quinonez Gabrielian has served as trustee since April of 2002 and served twice as President of the Board in the 2005-2006 and 2011-2012 fiscal years.
Gabrielian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the USC Marshall School of Business and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic University in Pomona.
Anita is co-founder and partner of CG Benefits Group LLC, offering employee benefits solutions and insurance services. Prior to establishing CGBG, she served as Vice President of External Affairs in Los Angeles for AT&T, where she had a long and distinguished career mastering positions in network engineering, operations, project management, and government relations.
Gabrielian has been an active director of many chambers of commerce and non-profit organizations. She has served on the boards of the Glendale, Alhambra, Burbank, Pasadena and Santa Clarita Valley Chambers of Commerce, the Central City Association, The Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce PAC, Glendale College Foundation, YWCA of Glendale and Los Angeles, California Council on Economic Education, the Glendale Latino Association and the Los Angeles League of Women Voters Education Fund Board. She served as Chairwoman of the Board of the San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership and Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center. Anita also served as a mayoral appointee on the Los Angeles Workforce Investment Board. Gabrielian currently serves on the Board of Directors of MAOF and the Advisory Boards of Cal State LA's Pat Brown Institute for Public Affairs, HOPE and the USC Latino Alumni Association. She proudly serves on the Holy Redeemer/St James Parish Council. She is a graduate of the CORO Foundation's Leadership Southern California Program and Leadership California's Class of 2010.
Recognized for her extensive community involvement and professional service, Anita was honored as Woman of the Year for the 43rd State Assembly District. She has also been honored with the Medal of Excellence Award from Pasadena's Women at Work and the ALAS Award for extraordinary commitment to education and community from Adelante Latinos. She received the Corporate Woman of the Year Award from former Senator Jack Scott, Assembly Majority Leader Dario Frommer and Assemblywoman Carol Liu at their Annual Women in Business Awards Ceremony. Anita was Woman of the Year for the Glendale Chamber of Commerce and Glendale Latino Association and a Woman of Achievement by Business Life Magazine. Gabrielian was recently honored as woman of the year by California State Senator Carol Liu.
She resides in Glendale with her husband, Leo. The Gabrielians have been blessed with three daughters.
Mrs. Gabrielian’s present term is April 2013 – April 2017. She resides in Area 2.
