The GED and HiSET examinations give you the opportunity to earn a high school equivalency diploma. These comprehensive tests cover the subjects of Reading, Writing, Science, Social Studies, and Mathematics. The Student Success Center offers preparation classes for these exams.
You are eligible to take the tests if you are not enrolled in, and have not graduated from high school, and you are 18 or older (or within 60 days of your 18th birthday at the time of testing) and are a current resident of California. Applicants must register in person and present current photo identification (including examinee's name, date of birth, address, and signature) at the time of registration, and again at testing. Tests are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning on the first day of registration, and ending when the test has reached maximum enrollment.
For details about registration, call Toy Jones 818-240-1000 ext. 5055 or come in person to Garfield Campus, Mariposa 221 or 211.
