Three new members join the president
Crescenta Valley Town Councilmember Dr. Young Suh is joined by Glendale Alumnae Linda Taix-Paccone and Donna Melby as Foundation President Mike Haney welcomes them to the President’s Circle.

In July, three of our alumni will be joining the Glendale College Foundation Board. Judge Suzi Clover distinguished herself as Associated Student Body President and Woman of the Year back in her tenure as a GCC student. Armen Kiramijyan, an attorney and economist, was also Associated Student Body President during his student days and remains active on campus as an Adjunct Professor of Economics and Social Science. Edwin Sahakian, a commercial pilot, received his early training in our Aviation Department and continues to serve as a Flight and Ground Instructor.

Alumni play a large role on the Glendale Foundation Board. Last year, the Alumni Council was pleased to welcome three new members to the President’s Circle and two of the three, Donna Melby and Linda Taix-Paccone are Glendale College Alumni. The third new member, Dr. Young Suh, is an anesthesiologist and has served on numerous missions around the world to assist with eye surgeries and procedures. The President’s Circle is an elite group of Foundation Board members who participate in fundraising and community awareness while promoting Glendale College’s many programs for student success.

Both Alumna-President’s Circle members have taken on special projects that reflect their time on campus. Donna Melby is setting up a special fund in honor of Chuck Gibson , a beloved social sciences teacher and tennis coach. Linda Taix-Paccone serves on the Athletic Hall of Fame Committee as well as the Glendale College Foundation 2014 Golf Classic.
