Welcome to Glendale Community College Library

We are here to help you locate the materials you need, assist you in research strategy, and come to your aid when you are searching the computer system, whether you are in the library, or accessing our web site and materials from some other location.

We hope you will find the library and its staff helpful in the successful completion of your coursework at Glendale College.

Please don't hesitate to ask a librarian for assistance at any time. The reference librarian will help you if you need assistance in locating materials or with online search strategies. You encouraged to come to the Reference Desk, phone a reference librarian during working hours or send an email request to our online reference librarian.

Information available online

All library article databases are available to students, faculty, and staff from office, classroom, and laboratory computers via the library's home page. Currently registered GCC students are automatically authorized to use article databases from home.

The Library Online Catalog is the compilation of information about the materials housed in the library building. It can be searched in several ways -- by author, title, subject, or keyword. When one of these is entered, information about the item, its location, and availability is shown on the screen.

A variety of other online resources, including article databases for magazines, newspapers, literary criticism, statistics, art, etc. are available via the GCC Library Article Databases: Descriptions & Guides.

You may also view the New Books List of materials recently added to the library collection as well as a list and subject guide to the library's periodical holdings.

Lost and Found

Please do not leave your personal belongings unattended.   Lost and Found is located at the Circulation Desk.  Lost and Found items are taken to the GCC Police station every few days
