The GCC Community Science Education Center is a state-of-the-art
science facility that enriches Glendale and its surrounding
communities.
Uniquely funded by a private/public partnership, completion of the
new center came after a three-year funding effort that included
support from the federal government, the state of California,
community business partners, college alumni, community supporters and
college employees.
Glendale Community College has an outstanding reputation in the
fields of science and math education, with a number of excellent
programs including a scholars program that provides enhanced classes
for science and math students and ten years of experience in contract
instruction with JPL. The Science Center allows the college to further
broaden its curriculum, with unique facilities including a
computerized projection system planetarium and computer access to the
Geographical Information System (GIS).
