CANVAS HELP

Important Notice for New and Returning Students:

  • If you are on the waiting list or not enrolled in class, you cannot access Canvas for the class.
  • If you have enrolled in a class, you will need to wait one day to access Canvas.
  • If after you have enrolled and waited one day, you cannot access MyGCC or have difficulty resetting your password or your account has expired, please complete the MyGCC Issue Contact Form for assistance.

You will be contacted by college Information and Technology department staff.

How to login to Canvas for the first time for students: 

  • Use your GCC Student ID number as username.

  • Use your first name first initial and last name first initial in CAPITAL LETTERS followed by an "@" sign and by your six-digit date of birth (mmddyy) as the password.
       
    For example, password for John Smith born January 23, 1990 would be JS@012390

  • You will be asked to change your password the first time you login. If you can’t log in a second time, you will have to reset your password. Remember to check your student.glendale.edu email to get the password reset code numbers.
