These courses are designed for students who wish to learn applications used in many office settings. We offer courses in both Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access) as well as Google Workspace web applications.



This course is designed to meet the employment needs of the public sector and private industry. It offers hand-on word processing for students with no previous word processing experience. A typing speed of 25 is recommended. Introduction to Computers or some recent computer experience is recommended for enrollment. Courses meeting once per week are 12 weeks long and courses meeting twice per week are 6 weeks long.

This course is designed to teach students advanced features of MS Word including using mail merge, creating tables, inserting graphics into a document, modifying charts, creating styles and applying macros. Beginning Word and a typing speed of 25 wpm are strong recommended. Courses meeting once per week are 12 weeks long and courses meeting twice per week are 6 weeks long.

This course is designed to meet the employment needs of private industry and of the public sector. It offers hands-on computerized spreadsheet training for students with no previous spreadsheet experience. The Introduction to Computers class or some recent computer experience is recommended for enrollment. Courses meeting once per week are 12 weeks long and courses meeting twice per week are 6 weeks long.

Advanced Excel is designed to teach students advanced features of MS Excel including applying number formats using Excel templates, linking and sharing workbooks, and utilizing financial and statistical functions. Beginning Excel is strongly recommended for enrollment. Courses meeting once per week are 12 weeks long and courses meeting twice per week are 6 weeks long.

This course provides an introduction to a personal information management (PMI) program using MS Office Outlook. This beginning course includes communication by email, managing contacts, planning tasks and schedules, and managing the inbox. Courses meeting once per week are 8 weeks long and courses meeting twice per week are 4 weeks long.

This course is designed to help turn your ideas into professional, compelling presentations. Introduction to Computers or some recent computer experience is recommended for enrollment. Courses meeting once per week are 8 weeks long and courses meeting twice per week are 4 weeks long.

Access is database management software. Experience with Word or Excel is recommended. The Introduction to Computers class or some recent computer experience is required for enrollment. Courses meeting once per week are 12 weeks long and courses meeting twice per week are 6 weeks long.

This course provides students with an introduction to using and configuring a Google account, security settings, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Voice, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Forms. Students will learn to create a Google account, change account settings, use all features available in Gmail, create calendars and appointments in Google Calendar, create a forwarding telephone number service in Google Voice, and create a channel as well as content in Google's YouTube. Courses meeting once per week are 8 weeks long and courses meeting twice per week are 4 weeks long.

This course provides students with skills and information to extend their knowledge of Google Workspace beyond the Google Workspace Fundamentals course. Students create documents and forms in the cloud, backup files, and collaborate with others on documents and worksheets. Courses meeting once per week are 8 weeks long and courses meeting twice per week are 4 weeks long.

This course provides the student with abilities and knowledge to construct documents using desktop publication concepts.
