Biography:
This is Professor Bender’s 15th year teaching at Glendale Community College. Professor Bender teaches many classes in the Business Administration department, but also teaches Badminton!
A former community college transfer student, Professor Bender has amassed over 25 years of business experience in both the public and private sectors.
Professor Bender was the first in his family to attend college. He is proud of attending Santa Rosa Jr. College, and graduating with an Associate of Arts in General Studies. While there, Professor Bender studied business, played baseball, and competed in track and field.
After transferring to UCLA, Prof. Bender double majored in Economics and Psychology. While there, he initially trained in clinical psychology, but his love of business and economics won out.
And so soon after graduating, Prof. Bender began work as an accountant in a Los Angeles CPA firm.
Over the years, Prof. Bender worked hard to attain his master’s and law degrees. He has held positions in management, operations, and law.
Prof. Bender also founded a tax practice specializing in audit representation that is still active.
Prof. Bender loves teaching, and is amazed because it all started in Community College!
