The Glendale Community College District is governed by a popularly elected Board of Trustees.
The Board of Trustees holds a regular board meeting once per month. Regular board meetings convene at 5:00 p.m. in Kreider Hall, San Rafael Building, 1500 North Verdugo Road, Glendale, CA, unless otherwise posted.
The current Schedule of Glendale Community College District Regular Board Meetings is viewable at Board Meeting Current Schedule, Agenda, and Minutes.
Special board meetings are scheduled as needed.
In December 2017, the Board of Trustees voted to consolidate the election date for members of the Board with the date of the California statewide primary election held in March of even numbered years. The President, Vice President, and Clerk of the Board of Trustees are elected by the Board for a one-year term at the annual reorganization meeting in April of odd-numbered years and in even-numbered years at the first meeting following the adoption and certification of the Board of Trustees election results as presented by the Los Angeles County Registrar – Recorder/County Clerk’s Office. The ASGCC President serves as Student Trustee.
Trustees are elected by area rather than at large. Areas 1 and 5 will hold elections in March 2024 and Areas 2, 3 and 4 will hold elections in March 2026 (see BOTAreaMap).
