In-Person Classes Return to GCC
Glendale Community College’s Fall 2021 semester schedule features more than 120 in-person classes to accommodate students seeking a wide range of learning options during the COVID-19 pandemic. An increase in vaccinated people has allowed GCC to begin a gradual return to a fully open in-person campus. Recognizing the need for diverse choices to fit the individual needs of students, the college will offer in-person, remote, hybrid and online courses when the new semester begins Monday, August 30. Continuing Education (noncredit) courses are also available at the GCC Garfield Campus. Click on this list of in-person classes to see what’s being offered this fall. GCC Receives Commendation for Jewel City Vax Clinic
Glendale City Council recently honored GCC for serving as the host site for the Jewel City Vax Clinic. The City of Glendale, Adventist Health and GCC partnered to create the mass vaccination site in the Verdugo Campus parking structure. Medical staff and volunteers administered more than 16-thousand doses of the COVID-19 vaccine from early April to mid-June in the fight against the coronavirus. During the Glendale City Council meeting on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, the mayor of Glendale issued several commendations to organizers and volunteers including GCC staff. GCC encourages everyone to get vaccinated for individual health and the safety of the entire community. To schedule an appointment or learn more about vaccinations go to myturn.ca.gov.
Customize Your Email Signature with the Bridge Logo
The Office of Communications and Community Relations encourages GCC faculty and staff to adopt a standardized email signature featuring the college’s refreshed logo. The result will be a professional looking signature that also promotes the GCC brand. When communicating to people outside the college we should be seen as one entity. Please refrain from adding a second graphic as it will dilute the message and risk overwhelming the bridge logo.By using a simple template you can format your signature to look like the following sample:
Please email the Office of Communications & Community Relations at comms@glendale.edu for the email signature template and the link to a “how to create signature” video.
While you are away...
If you haven’t been on the Verdugo Campus lately, the northwest corner is looking very different. Crews have carved out the hillside just west of parking Lot G as they install shoring walls to make room for the five-story state of the art building.
