COVID Protocols

COVID Protocols COVID Protocols

Reminder: Beginning with the 2023 Winter Session, COVID vaccinations will no longer be required for students to attend in-person classes at GCC.

Masking will not be required indoors except in areas where faculty or staff have requested masks be worn. We ask the GCC community to respond with courtesy and kindness when asked to wear a mask.

If you would like signage alerting visitors that they are in an area that requires indoor masking, please submit a work request with Facilities. You can also download your own printable signage by going to the GCC Brand Identity Guide Toolkit and scrolling to the bottom of the webpage.

GCC Brand Identity Guide: A Helpful Resource

GCC Brand Identity Guide

If you haven’t checked out the GCC Brand Identity Guide, you are missing out on a valuable resource. Simply type glendale.edu/branding and you will find links to the approved college logo, font and color, photos and images, zoom backgrounds, stationary, business cards, and a wide selection of templates.

Templates are the easiest and most efficient way to create brand approved materials like flyers, PowerPoint decks, letterhead, and social media posts. We offer a library of templates that allows you to be creative while staying on the GCC brand. The Comms Team strongly recommends that you use templates before submitting a request for design services to avoid waiting in the queue.

Campus Projects

Garfield Ribbon Cutting

Garfield Ribbon Cutting

The Garfield Campus hosted a ribbon cutting on November 15, 2022, to celebrate the completion of two significant projects that are helping students access Garfield’s continuing education opportunities. The new parking lot has created more than 250 spaces for vehicles that had previously crowded neighborhood streets looking for a place to park. The ceremony also recognized the completion of the Somerset Complex, a collection of three buildings that now house GCC CARES space and classrooms including space for healthcare instruction which is growing in popularity.

The Vaqs are back and so is the grass at the entrance to the Verdugo Campus. Thanks to the college’s use of reclaimed water, crews were able to lay down sod and quickly return the front of the campus to its former beautiful state. Go to glendale.edu/campusprojects to follow the progress of an ongoing project or if construction is impacting campus operations that day.
