New Logo. Same Commitment.
After a nearly two-year process, Glendale Community College has updated its logo. The Office of Communications teamed with RSM Design of South Pasadena to conduct workshops and lead student focus groups to create a fresh logo that represents GCC’s values, history, and architecture.
Bridges and arches are a common sight on GCC campuses. The first arches appeared on the initial building constructed on the Verdugo Campus in 1937. The three arches in the logo are a nod to the past while also acknowledging the present by representing the district’s three campuses. In addition, the arches support the bridge which looks to the future and is a metaphor for GCC’s purpose. Faculty and staff “ bridge” the gap between students’ dreams and the goals they achieve.
The Office of Communications has given several presentations regarding the story behind the logo design. If you have a group that could benefit from the presentation, please contact us at comms@glendale.edu. The Office of Communications has also created a useful Brand Identify Guide that you can access by going to glendale.edu/brandguidelines.
