The GCC Police Department located in SM 253. There is also an exterior phone located outside the lobby. Simply pick up the receiver and it will automatically dial in. Note that parking passes can be picked up from Campus Safety. 

To contact the GCC Police:

• Emergency: From a campus phone  Dial Ext. 4000 (there are phones in most classrooms that will also have a single button designated to dial the college police) 
• Emergency: From a cell phone  dial 9-1-1 (this will reach the City of Glendale Police Department however they can contact the College Police directly if needed.)
• Emergency: Blue phone emergency call boxes and towers are also located on campus if you are unable to quickly and safely use a cell phone. Even if you are unable to speak, College Police personnel will respond anytime to call box is activated. 
• Emergency: 818-409-5911. You can contact the GCC Police directly in an emergency by dialing this number from your phone.  It is recommended to save this number in your smart phone.
• Non-emergency: 818-551-5205

While our campus is generally safe, if you see something suspicious on campus, report it to the police.  If a student has become so disruptive that learning cannot continue in your classroom, contact GCC Police.  The GCC Police are here to help, so don't hesitate to reach out to them if you feel threatened.

In the highly unlikely event that the campus issues a shelter-in-place order, information will come over the classroom phone intercom system.  Lock the classroom door from the inside lock, turn off the lights, avoid the windows, separate into groups, remain quiet, and wait for further instructions.  There are occasionally Instructor Workshops that give more information about sheltering in place, so watch your email for those.
