Instructor Evaluation

Adjunct faculty members are evaluated during their first year at GCC and then every three years after that.  The full-time faculty member who observes your class will work with you to make sure they are not coming on a day that you have an exam, exam review, etc.  Evaluations include multiple aspects:

  • Classroom observation (often by division chair or assistant division chair)
  • Submitting your syllabus, exams, and other relevant material for review
  • Student evaluations

It's a good idea to look over the evaluation forms throughout the semester to make sure you are covering all the important aspects for the evaluation.  For more information, see the (searchable) GCC Guild Contract.  Find Section 9 in the "Evaluation Procedures" section.

Evaluation forms can be found on the HR Forms Repository for Academic Adjunct (select "PT Instructional Adjunct Evaluation Packet").
