The Math Discovery Center (MDC), located in CS 266, offers free math tutoring on a drop-in basis as well as various mathematics-related computer programs.

Selected student tutors and/or faculty members are available to answer brief questions and give short explanations about all levels of math courses. No appointment is necessary. Students should be enrolled in a math class at GCC to use Math Discovery Center. 

In addition to receiving on-the-spot tutoring, the MDC is a good environment for students to just come in and work on math.  There are quiet, individual work spaces as well as more collaborative work environments. There are also portable dry erase boards available to students.

Note that the tutoring in the MDC is more designed to answer specific homework questions.  A session with a tutor would be for one specific question and would last between one and five minutes, though students can come back for multiple questions. Students who want more in-depth tutoring should visit The Learning Center.
