Credit ESL Pathway Certificates of Achievement
The Intermediate and Advanced ESL Pathway certificates are designed to prepare non-native English speakers to succeed in various academic and career pathways. Students completing these certificates achieve academic English skills at an intermediate/advanced, postsecondary level. They also achieve success in prerequisite or introductory coursework in a variety of degree, certificate, or general education patterns.
Intermediate ESL: Academic & Career Preparation (Cert.) (Total 16-17 units)
The Intermediate ESL: Academic and Career Preparation certificate is designed to prepare nonnative English speakers to succeed in various academic and career pathways. Students completing this certificate will have achieved academic English skills at a high-intermediate level as well as taken foundational coursework in student development. Program Goals and Objectives: Upon completion of this program students will demonstrate English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills at an intermediate level of proficiency. Demonstrate an increased understanding of academic skills required to succeed in college. Demonstrate an increased understanding of career pathways. Students must complete all required courses for a minimum of 16 units.

Advanced ESL: Business, Entrepreneurship & Management Pathway Certificate (Total 16 units)
The Advanced ESL: Business, Entrepreneurship & Management certificate is designed to prepare non-native English speakers to succeed in Business, Entrepreneurship & Management academic and career pathways. Students completing this certificate have achieved academic English skills at an advanced, postsecondary level. They have also achieved success in prerequisite or introductory coursework in a variety of degree, certificate, or general education patterns. Program Goals and Objectives: Upon completion of this program students will demonstrate English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills at an advanced level of proficiency. The Advanced ESL: Health, Wellness & Public Safety Pathway certificate is designed to prepare non-native English speakers to succeed in Health, Wellness & Public Safety academic and career pathways. Students completing this certificate have achieved academic English skills at an advanced, postsecondary level. They have also achieved success in prerequisite or introductory coursework in a variety of degree, certificate, or general education patterns.
