Our mission is to foster in a diverse group of students an understanding and appreciation of human movement functions and to encourage and develop learning skills that enhance their personal and professional growth.
The Kinesiology Division offers courses in: Kinesiology (KIN), Health (HLTH), Physical Education and Adapted Physical Education (PE), Athletic Physical Education (ATHPE)
All courses are coeducational unless otherwise noted. The Division also serves the needs of students completing majors in other fields who find that certain aspects of Adapted Physical Education, Athletics, Health, Kinesiology, and Physical Education are important to their professional objectives and personal interests.
The Division offers the following degrees/certificates:
- Associate of Arts in Kinesiology for Transfer (KIN AA-T)
- Fitness Specialist Certificate (FS certificate)
In addition to offering these programs, the Division of Kinesiology contributes to the overall mission of the College by interacting with the community through clinics and camps, conducting applied research, and providing students with general education, interdisciplinary and physical activity courses.
