Grip and Lighting (ND)

This certificate is designed to train students seeking a pathway into the lighting or grip department in the film and television industry. Students will develop the ability to work effectively as a member of a grip or lighting department in production team while honing skills needed to complete high quality film and television productions. Program Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, the student will demonstrate an effective ability to work as a member of a lighting or grip production team to achieve the challenges of technical and conceptual goals of the project from origination to the completion of the high quality final deliverable media productions; demonstrate an understanding of composition, film language and lighting techniques to support the creative vision of the director. Students must complete all the required courses for a minimum of 9 units.

This certificate does not satisfy the major requirements for the Associate in Science degree.
