Human Resources Assistant (ND)

This certificate is designed for students who intend to seek employment in a Human Resources department in private industry or in a governmental agency (e.g. city, county, state, school district, etc.). This coursework will help to prepare students for entry-level positions with job titles such as HR Assistant, HR Clerk, HR Technician, etc. This coursework also helps prepare students for the Professional Human Resources Certification and Senior Professional Human Resources Certification examinations. Program Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, students will learn to apply the principles and methods involved in the recruitment, selection and placement of employees with regard to affirmative action programs, training, experience and aptitudes. Students will be able to model techniques of effective customer and employee relations.

This certificate does not satisfy the major requirements for the Associate in Science degree.
