Associate in Arts for Transfer - English

The Associate in Arts in English for Transfer Degree is designed to prepare the student for transfer to four-year institutions of higher education and is specifically intended to satisfy lower division requirements for a baccalaureate degree in English at a California State University. The English AA-T degree requires completion of the major and the CSU General Education (40 units) or IGETC (37-39 units) requirements. Program Learning Outcomes: The knowledge and skills offered in this degree lead students to develop foundational knowledge in grammar, composition, literary analysis, and logical argumentation in the field of English. These skills provide tools for inquiry into local, national, and global topics within the discipline.

All courses used to satisfy the major for the Associate in Arts degree must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.
