Associate in Arts for Transfer - Geography

The Associate of Arts in Geography for Transfer Degree is designed to prepare the student for transfer to four year institutions of higher education and is specifically intended to satisfy lower division requirements for a baccalaureate degree in geography at a California State University. The knowledge and skills offered in this degree lead students to develop foundational knowledge in the field of geography including those topics and issues related to global, national, and local aspects of the field of study. Program Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, the student will have the knowledge and skills offered to develop foundational knowledge in the field of geography including those topics and issues related to global, national, and local aspects of the field of study.

The Geography AA-T degree requires completion of the major and the CSU General Education (40 units) or IGETC (37-39 units) requirements.

All courses used to satisfy the major for the Associate in Arts degree must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.
