Liberal Arts: Arts and Humanities Emphasis

This program is designed for students who wish to have a broad knowledge of the arts and humanities, and is recommended for transfer students seeking an Associate Degree prior to transferring to a college or university with a major in a related field. The courses emphasize the study of cultural, literary, humanistic activities and artistic expression of human beings. Program Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, students will be able to analyze works of philosophical, historical, literary, aesthetic, and cultural importance.  Describe the art, literature, ideas, movements, and individuals that have helped to define values, civilizations, and the human condition. Examine other cultures through the study of a foreign language.

All courses used to satisfy the major for the Associate in Arts degree must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.
