Liberal Arts: Science and Mathematics Emphasis

This program is designed for students who wish to have a broad knowledge of science and mathematics, and is recommended for transfer students seeking an Associate Degree prior to transferring to a college or university with a major in a related field. The courses emphasize the facts and principles which form the foundations of living and non-living systems, as well as mathematical concepts and quantitative reasoning and their application.Program Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, students will be able to apply mathematical and scientific ideas to analyze real-world situations. Read, write, listen to, and speak about mathematical and scientific ideas with understanding. Use appropriate technology and/or tools to enhance scientific thinking and understanding.

All courses used to satisfy the major for the Associate in Arts degree must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.
