FAFSA Application and Information

FAFSA on the Web allows you to enter your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. Completing your FAFSA on the Web can save you approximately two weeks of processing time when compared to using the paper FAFSA. National Student Load Data System Student Access

The U.S. Department of Education's National Student Loan Data System allows a student to view information about federal financial aid they receive at all colleges they attend. It is a central database for student aid and receives all data from schools/agencies, and loan servicers.  In order to access your information, you will need your FSA ID and Password . For questions about a loan or grant, or for technical support, contact the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 800-433-3243 (TTY 800-730-8913).

California Student Aid Commission

The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) administers the State of California's financial aid programs including Cal Grants. If you have questions about the state financial aid programs you can contact CSAC at 888-CA-GRANT (888-224-7268)

ScholarShare

ScholarShare is a tax deferred college savings plan designed to help California families save in order to meet the increasing costs of college. Contributions are federally tax-deferred and state tax-exempt. ScholarShare also has responsibility for coordinating the Governor's Scholarship program for eligible California students. CalFresh

CalFresh:  The name for California's Food Stamp Program has changed as a result of recent State law.  The new name for the program is "CalFresh".  CalFresh benefits are used instead of money at the grocery store.  Click here for more information on CalFresh.

Federal Direct Loans

With Federal Direct Loans, you: 
• Borrow directly from the federal government and have a single contact-your loan servicer-for everything related to repayment, even if you receive Direct Loans at different schools. 
• Have online access to your Direct Loan account information via your servicer's website. 
• Choose from several repayment plans that are designed to meet the needs of almost any borrower, and you can switch repayment plans if your needs change.

Selective Service

The Selective Service site allows you to register on-line. Registration is mandatory for almost all males between the ages of 18 and 25, and any males who are required to register must do so before receiving any form of federal or state financial aid. IRS and CA Franchise Tax Board

The Internal Revenue Service and the California Franchise Tax Board websites offer a plethora of information regarding income tax law, forms, publications, and other related topics. The websites are invaluable during tax filing season as you can download many forms from the internet including your IRS tax transcripts.
