DACA Renewals Funding:
The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) has received additional funding to continue to support individuals with their DACA renewal fees. As a reminder, the funding covers the $495 DACA renewal application fee for income-eligible California residents. You can find a list of eligible legal service providers here.
Protections for tenants
On April 7, 2020, following the Judicial Council of California's emergency meeting, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra issued updated guidance to California tenants, encouraging them to learn about their rights if they will not be able to pay their full rent as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Attorney General encourages tenants to learn about their rights under the state Judicial Council’s April 6 emergency eviction rule, which expanded the statewide protections previously put in place by Governor Gavin Newsom’s executive order at the end of March. California Immigrant Policy Center
The California Immigrant Policy Center compiled this guide to help connect immigrants to the assistance they may need during this crisis. They will continue to update this resource as new information becomes available.
Immigrants Rising Resources:
Immigrants Rising has developed a list of resources to help undocumented individuals and allies. The list of resources is a live document that is updated daily. Immigrants Rising’s will also be hosting virtual Wellness Gatherings to help undocumented young people stay grounded and connected to one another on Wednesdays & Sundays from 5-6 PM.
The National Immigration Law Center
The National Immigration Law Center held three separate webinars this week, covering federal responses to COVID-19’s impact on immigrants and how states and localities are filling in the gaps:
1. Tuesday, April 14 (1:00-2:00 PM) Safe and Accessible: Public Charge, Safe Spaces in Health Care Centers, and Immigrants’ Access to Health Care.
2. Wednesday, April 15 (10:30 AM-12:00 PM) Workers’ Rights: Critical Labor Protections for Immigrant Workers During the COVID-19 Pandemic.
3. Thursday, April 16 (10-11:30 AM) Equal Opportunities to Thrive: Rebates, Taxes/SSN/ITIN, Food Security, and Access to Food Programs. P

The Presidents Alliance on Higher Education
The Presidents Alliance on Higher Education and Immigration will be hosting a webinar, COVID-19 Crisis and the Impact on Undocumented/DACA Students and Their Families: What Campus Leaders Need to Know, on Monday, April 27, at 2 PM.
