Aboolian, Hrire Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is offered to a transfer student with architecture, urban planning, civil engineering, or urban design major with min. GPA of 3.0.
Adel nextBlock Entrepreneur/Nursing
This scholarship was established by Adel Luzuriaga for a continuing student who is either a nursing or a business major who is preferably Filipino.
Adventist Health Glendale
This scholarship is awarded to a nursing student who has a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Agoston Joe – Soccer Memorial Scholarship
An annual award is made to a male or female soccer player who has used up his/her eligibility at Glendale Community College.
American Association of University Women
This scholarship is established for a transfer female student who has shown campus and community involvement. GPA must be between 2.8 and 3.5.
Armenian Educational Foundation
Awarded to four transfer students who show academic achievement and are involved in community activities.
Armenian International Women’s Association Scholarship
Established by the Armenian International Women’s Association, this award is given to a female student with a 3.5 GPA or higher who has financial need.
Arrobio Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to a transfer student who is majoring in Art or Architecture, who has financial need and has shown community involvement.
ASGCC Fine Arts
Scholarships are awarded to students majoring in visual and performing arts who have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Assistance League of Glendale - Transfer
The Assistance League of Glendale is offering a scholarship to a female transfer student. The criteria of eligibility will be based on school leadership, community service, financial need and min. 3.0 GPA. This scholarship will be paid upon receiving confirmation of registration in a min. of 12 units at a four-year college.
Assistance League of Glendale – Re-entry
The Assistance League of Glendale is offering a scholarship to a Re-entry female transfer student. The criteria of eligibility will be based on school leadership, community service, financial need and min. 3.0 GPA. This scholarship will be paid upon receiving confirmation of registration in a min. of 12 units at a four-year college.

Bakken-Berns, Leanna Theater Arts Scholarship
This annual scholarship, funded by Leanna Bakken-Berns, is awarded to students majoring in Theater Arts that are transferring into a Teacher-Training program at a 4 year university to teach Theater Arts.
Bakken, Russell Visual Arts
This scholarship is awarded annually to students who are majoring in Visual Arts. An annual scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in visual arts.
Balcer, Linde Memorial
A scholarship is awarded to a student that is currently in the nursing program with a GPA of 3.0 or higher that also shows campus involvements.
Bates, William
This scholarship was established by Robert Bates and his colleagues for a student majoring Accounting with on and off campus activities. GPA 3.0 is required.
Battaglia, Angela and Anthony
A scholarship is awarded annually to a continuing or transferring student majoring in elementary education. Funds for this scholarship have been donated by the family and friends of Angela and Anthony Battaglia to recognize their dedicated service to the students of Glendale Community College.
Baumann Riddle, Melita - Child Development Scholarship
A scholarship provided annually by Melita and Stu Riddle Stuart; Melita was a long-time faculty director of GCC’s Child Development Center. Awarded annually to an exceptional student majoring in Child Development in need of help financially to transfer to a four-year program.
Beck, Harry L.
Donated by friends and relatives of Harry L. Beck, former Dean of Admission and Records. This scholarship is awarded to a re-entry student with financial need and a commitment to education.
Bentley, Jeanne Memorial
Established by the family of Jeanne Bentley, long time Glendale educator, this award is given annually to a U.S Citizen student who is majoring in education and would like to become a teacher with a 3.0 GPA.
Berry, Rae
Scholarships is awarded each year to female students in the Re-entry Program.
Biology Student Assistant
One scholarship is awarded to a student after performing exemplary service as a student assistant in the Biology Department.
Bishop, Elsie Memorial-Outstanding Woman
The former GCC Patrons Club established this scholarship to awards an outstanding student selected by the student body. This scholarship is in honor of Elsie Bishop, former Dean of Students at GCC.
Bistagne, Tom Memorial
This scholarship is designed for a male student athlete who has shown academic achievement. It is awarded annually.
Black, Sally Memorial
Awarded to a student in the nursing program while the recipient is still enrolled at Glendale College.
Black Excellence in Public Service
This scholarship was established by an anonymous person to support the Black/African American students. The award is given to student who is continuing his/her education at GCC and is majoring in areas related to public service.
Black Scholars-Black Student Union
This scholarship is awarded annually to African American students who are either transferring or have earned an AA/AS degree from GCC while maintaining a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Recipients are mainly those in financial need and must also be involved in campus activities and community service.
Braille Transcriber Guild-Glendale
One scholarship is awarded to a visually handicapped student who is continuing at Glendale or transferring to upper division studies.
Braun, Aimee
This scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in dance who has the intention of pursuing professional dance as their future career.
Brick Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a female Nursing Student who is the first in their family to pursue secondary education.
Brooks, Christopher Columbus Scholarship
This annual scholarship, established by Lisa Brooks, is awarded to returning GCC students who are pursuing a Computer related major. The recipient must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and in need of financial assistance.
Burch, Ernest Jr. Memorial
In memory of Mr. Burch, a former GCC Bookstore employee, this annual award is given to a continuing student majoring in Liberal arts.
Burke, Mary D.Vocal Award
Awarded by the Burke family to a female student majoring in music.
Burke, William V. Memorial Instrumental Scholarship
Established by the family of William V. Burke, this award is given annually to a student majoring in instrumental music.
Butcher, Linda Ruth Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Linda Perry, daughter of Linda Ruth Butcher in memory of her mother. This scholarship is awarded to a female student majoring in Culinary Arts.

California Retired Teachers Association
California Retied Teachers Association is offering scholarships to GCC students who are transferrin as juniors to an accredited college/university in California and intend to pursue a career in public education. Student must be a U.S. Citizen.
Casady, Virginia Memorial
A scholarship established in memory of Virginia Casady a lifelong learning Seminars faculty member. This scholarship is awarded annually to a single parent from non-credit education transitioning to credit education.
Casillas, Arnulfo Memorial
An annual award is given in memory of Arnulfo Casillas, a former Glendale Community College counselor. The recipient must have completed all the transfer credits and is involved in campus and community activities.
Center for Student Involvement Humanitarian (CSI) Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Hoover Zariani for an AB540 student who has involvement in community service and is transferring or graduating from GCC.
Charles, Richard E. (Dick) Memorial
Given in memory of Dick Charles, a long-time supporter of the college and of the arts in the Glendale community is awarded to a transferring GCC student with at least a 3.0 GPA and an academic emphasis in the instrumental music program.
Chemistry
A scholarship is awarded to an outstanding student in chemistry with a 3.3 or higher GPA.
Chief’s Scholarship
The Chief’s Scholarship is designed for continuing students who are preparing for a career in law enforcement or public safety. The scholarship is given annually.
Chino, Martin Memorial
This scholarship was established in memory of former GCC student, Martin Chino, by ASGCC. It is preferably awarded annually to an AB540 student who has involvement on and off campus.
Christ, David Memorial
Established in memory of a former GCC aviation instructor, David Christ, and awarded to a student in the Aviation Program.
Clark, Katherine and Thomas Memorial
Established by former GCC employee, Magda von Tautphoeus, in memory of her parents, awarded annually to a student who plans to be a teacher. Student must have a min. 3.0 GPA who has completed campus and community activities.
Clemens, Albert
Established in honor of Mr. Clemens, former president of the Glendale College Foundation, this scholarship is awarded annually to a transferring student who is pursuing a career in special education
Clement, Francoise Grand
Awarded annually to a student who is majoring in either Math, Science or Engineering. Recipient should be an AB540 student.
Clover, Sara Evelyn Memorial
A scholarship established by the family and friends of Sara Evelyn Clover in her memory. Awarded each spring to an outstanding transferring student. Single parent is preferred.
Coblenz-Zorbas Women’s Athletic Scholarship
This scholarship established by Terry Coblenz, former GCC Women's Athletic Director and it is awarded annually to a female student athlete.
Cochrane, Harold Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Judy Shane, daughter of Dr. Harold Cochran, and awarded to an outstanding student majoring in psychology, with financial need.
College Women’s Club of Pasadena
Scholarships are awarded annually to female students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and are ready to transfer to a four-year college or university. The candidates must be U.S. Citizen and have GPA 3.2 or higher.
Coler, Michael Memorial
Awarded annually to a student who has shown academic achievement and who is receiving financial aid.
Collins, Deirdre C. Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the family and colleagues in memory of Deirdre Collins, a beloved math instructor at GCC. The award is given to a transferring student majoring in Math with a GPA 3.0 or higher.
Colton-Field Academic Achievement Award
Established by political science professor, Mona Field, and her family, this scholarship is awarded annually to a transferring student majoring in social science or language arts.

- Tuesday Afternoon Club Re-Entry (GCF)
This award is established for Glendale Community College re-entry students, who demonstrate financial need and are US citizens.
- Chuck Benedict Memorial
This scholarship is awarded to a transfer student who is majoring in journalism.
- Reinhart Family Award
A scholarship is awarded to a student that is a resident of Glendale, La Canada Flintridge, or La Crescenta for the past five years and is attending Glendale Community College.
- Youngquist Award
Awarded to a student in the nursing program that has intentions of earning an AA degree in nursing.
Connett, Ted Memorial
A scholarship has been established by donations from the friends and relatives of Ted Connett, former English instructor who was instrumental in developing the Learning Center at GCC. Scholarship is given to a student employed in the Learning Center or Tutorial Center who has a GPA 2.5 or higher.
Coomes, Michael Memorial
Awarded in memory of Mr. Coomes, a former art instructor at GCC to a continuing student majoring in fine arts with GPA 3.0 or higher.
Costales, Sharon – Veterans Scholarship
Awarded annually to help a student veteran of the U.S armed forces, to continue his/her education at GCC. Established by Sharon Costales, former counselor at the college.
Crouch Family Scholarship
Awarded annually to a continuing student with Nursing major.
Cunningham, Jeanne Homemaker Academic Award
Established in honor of Jeanne Cunningham, a former GCC faculty member, this annual scholarship is awarded to an outstanding GCC student who is transferring to a four year university and has homemaker responsibilities. Student must have completed over 50 units with a GPA 3.5 or higher.

D'Aloia Cook, Estelle and James Michael Memorial
A scholarship established by Dr. Jewel Price, former Dean of Student Services at GCC, in memory of her parents and is awarded annually to a continuing student who is single parent and has been involved in community service.
Daly/Janicki Memorial
An annual scholarship is awarded in memory of Mr. Daly and Mr. Janicki, former English professors at GCC. Scholarship is for a student who has a GPA of 3.0 or higher and majoring in English or Speech.
Daughters of American Revolution RAD Scholarship
The scholarship was established to help veterans reach a dream at Glendale Community College. This scholarship is offered as a thank you for their service to our country. The student must have a min. GPA of 3.0.
Davidson, Rotha C.
Awarded in honor of Johnnie Davidson, a long-time member of the Patrons Club, to a graduating or transfer student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The student must have graduated from a California high school, be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, and have participated in campus activities or community service.
Davitt, John A. Scholarship
The former GCC Patrons Club awards a scholarship to an outstanding transferring student with definite career goals. The scholarship is in honor of Dr. John Davitt, former Superintendent/President. The candidates must have a min. 3.0 GPA and majoring in Nursing program.
De Angelis, John Memorial Flight Training Scholarship
Established by Mr. and Mrs. John DeAngelis and awarded to a student to help defray flight training expenses.
Deaf Education Award
A scholarship is awarded annually to a hearing impaired student enrolled in the Glendale Community College Disabled Student Program.
DeFrain, Patricia Memorial
Established in memory of former GCC professor, Patricia DeFrain, this scholarship is awarded every year to a student majoring in business or business law.
Delmonte, Janet and John
Established by Mr. & Mrs. John Delmonte, this scholarship is awarded in the spring to an outstanding math or science major student transferring to a four-year institution.
Del Rio, Teresa Memorial
Established by Mr. and Mrs. Fernando Del Rio in memory of their daughter is awarded annually to a continuing female student at GCC. Student must have done campus and community activities services.
Denner, Richard Memorial
An annual scholarship is given to a male student who is majoring in music with financial need.
Denton, Elmer G. Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to an outstanding student in art history who has attended GCC for one year. The award is in memory of Elmer G. Denton, donated by the Glendale Art Association. Students must have a 3.5 GPA and have completed 24 units, majoring in Art or Art History.
De Grassi, Dolores Marie Memorial
A scholarship established by GCC professor Leonard De Grassi, in memory of his wife Dolores, is awarded to a GCC continuing student with a grade point average 3.0 or higher.
De Rowe, Cora
This scholarship was established in memory of Dr. Cora De Row who was the president of ACCTLA. It is offered in memory of her dedication to tutorial and learning assistance to a continuing student in the tutorial center.
De Vincentis, Lani
A scholarship is awarded to a graduate of the Glendale Community College - High School Diploma/GED Program who shows promise for academic achievement in college.
Djambazian, Daniel P. Memorial
A scholarship is awarded to a continuing student majoring in Vocal Music with a minimum of 2.5 GPA. The applicants must participate at voice audition.
Doyle, Professor Mark A. Memorial
This scholarship is awarded annually in memory of Mark Doyle, a former professor of Sociology, Anthropology, and Gerontology at GCC.
Dozois, Paul Memorial Scholarship
Established by family and colleagues in memory of Paul Dozois, a respected Vocational Education Dean at GCC, is given to a student majoring in Law or Engineering, GPA 3.0 or higher.
Dream Scholarship
Established through contributions from GCC faculty and staff, as well as the ASGCC, the Dream Scholarship assists economically disadvantaged immigrant students who graduated from California high schools and are ineligible to participate in traditional government sponsored financial aid programs. Recipients must demonstrate financial need, persistence and academic success as well as community involvement.
Dreis, Delia
Established in honor of Delia Dries by her daughter, Ann Ransford, Director of Communications, Marketing and Foundation at GCC, this award is given annually to an outstanding GCC student. GPA must be equal or higher than 3.0.
Dulay Family Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Dulay Family to celebrate their late father's life and memory. The scholarship is given annually to Filipino student has a 3.0 or higher GPA and is majoring in Business, Art, or Social Justice.
Duval, Josephine Architecture Award
Established in honor of Josephine Duval by her sister, Piper Rooney, family and friends in memory of their loving sister. This award is given annually to an outstanding female student majoring in Architecture.
E
Early Childhood Education
Scholarships are awarded annually to outstanding students who are majoring in Early Childhood Education. GPA 3.0 is required.
Economics Scholarship
This scholarship is provided to a student majoring in Economics.
Edwards, Ray and Editha
A scholarship has been established by Glendale Federal Savings and Loan to honor Raymond and Editha Edwards for their outstanding contributions to the community and GCC. The award is made for U.S Citizen student majoring in business and transferring to an accredited four-year institution. Campus activity and 3.0 GPA is required.
Electronics and Computer Technology
This scholarship is established for a student who is majoring in Electronics and Computer Technology. Student is required to have on and off campus activities experience.
Emergent Leaders Network Scholarship
Three scholarships are awarded annually to continuing students who have involvement in campus and community activities.
Enfiadjian, Rafael Scholarship
The ASGCC provided funding to help the Math Division establish this scholarship in memory of mathematics instructor, Rafael Enfiadjian. Awarded to an outstanding math, physics, chemistry, or engineering student who has successfully completed Math 103, 104, or Physics 101. GPA 3.5 or higher is required.
Evans Family Scholarship
Established by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Evans, this scholarship is awarded annually who is planning to transfer to a four-year institution. The recipient must be a female student who has a GPA 3.0 or higher.

Faverman, Frances and Herman Computer Science
Established by a GCC faculty member, Myron Faverman, awarded annually to a continuing GCC student majoring in computer science with financial need and 3.0 GPA.
Faverman, Myron Business Scholarship
Established by GCC faculty members to a continuing GCC student majoring in computer science with a 3.0 GPA.
Fell, William H. Memorial
A scholarship has been established by the family and friends of William H. Fell in his memory. It is awarded to assist an outstanding engineering student while attending Glendale Community College.
Fidelity Federal Bank Award
An annual scholarship is awarded to a continuing student at Glendale Community College planning to major in business administration with an emphasis on finances. A minimum 3.0 GPA and at least 24 units completed is required.
Firebaugh, Marco Scholarship
Awarded annually to a continuing AB540 student who has shown involvement in community activities.
G
Gabrielian, Leo M. Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established by a former member of the GCC Board of Trustees, Anita Quinonez Gabrielian in honor of her husband. It is offered annually to a student who is majoring in Administration of Justice, or would like to become a police cadet. Veteran students are also qualified for this scholarship. Campus and community involvement is also required.
Gardner-Kuentz, Kelly Memorial Scholarship
Staff and parents from the Child Development Center established this award in honor of former CDC employee, Kelly Gardner-Kuentz. It is given annually to a female transfer student majoring in child development who has a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Garfield Miller, James Memorial Scholarship
Established by the family in honor of James. The scholarship is given to a female single parent under age 30 who is making progress toward her educational goals despite financial difficulties or family responsibilities.
GCC Guild
An annual scholarship is awarded to an outstanding student who has been involved in campus activities and community service. GPA 3.0 is required.
Gene Haas Foundation Scholarship
Awarded to students pursuing CNC Machine technology.
Geiger, Mike Memorial Adapted Physical Education
This scholarship was established in memory of a former GCC student, Mike Geiger. This scholarship is offered annually to a student with disability.
Gelfand-Sollars, Lisa Memorial
A scholarship established in memory of a former Glendale Community College student by her family and friends is awarded annually to a continuing student involved in campus activities and community services.
George, Gerry Memorial
Established in memory of Mr. Gerry George, a counselor in the Disabled Students Center, this award is given to an outstanding disabled student.
Ghazarian, Haroutioun and Angele
A scholarship established by Sarkis Ghazarian, former GCC counselor. An annual scholarship is awarded to a continuing student with financial need.
Ghazarian, Mshak K.
A scholarship established by Sarkis Ghazarian, former GCC counselor, in honor of his son Mshak, is awarded to a transferring student with academic achievement and community services. GPA 3.5 is required.
Ghazarian, Nahreen A.
A scholarship established by Sarkis Ghazarian, former GCC counselor. Awarded annually to a student who has a GPA of 3.5 or higher and is transferring to a 4-year school.
GHS Graduating Class of 1947 Scholarship
Established by the Glendale High School graduating class of 1947 in honor of their 60th Anniversary Reunion. Awarded to a student with financial need who volunteers in his/her
community and has a GPA 3.0.
Giambra, Gina Marie Memorial Scholarship
Established by the parents of Gina Marie Giambra in her memory. Gina was a GCC student who was very active in campus activities. Presented to a female transferring student involved in campus activities and community service with a min. GPA of 3.2.
Gillespie, Matt Memorial
Granted through a fund established by Mr. and Mrs.Michael Gillespie and supplemented by the GCC Patrons Club in honor of Matt Gillespie, former football player at GCC. The scholarship is given to a returning, outstanding defensive lineman as selected by the Athletic Department.
Dr. Gillooly, Jessica Scholarship for Veterans/Guardian Scholars
This scholarship was established by former faculty member Dr. Jessica Gillooly to support GCC students who are majoring in psychology.
Glendale Adventist Medical Center Award for Clinical Excellence
Awarded annually to a GCC nursing student who has demonstrated clinical excellence upon graduation from the ADN program and upon transfer to a BSN program.
Glendale Area Schools Federal Credit Union
A scholarship is awarded annually to a student continuing at Glendale Community College or transferring to a four-year institution who is majoring in Business.
Glendale Host Lions Club
This annual award was established to give financial help to a continuing student who is a US citizen and has attended a Glendale high school.
Glendale Latino Association
This scholarship is awarded to Latino or Hispanic students who graduated from California High Schools. GPA 3.5 is required and must be a transfer student.
Glendale Rotary Club Foundation
Annual scholarships are awarded to outstanding students in the Adult Re-entry Program. GPA 3.0 or higher is required.
Glendale Sunrise Rotary on Entrance Scholarship
Awarded annually to continuing student who has shown campus involvement, and completed 30 units with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Golden Globe Foundation Film & Television Scholarship
Several different scholarships have been established by the Golden Globe Foundation for continuing GCC students who meet any of the following criteria: FTVM majors who have taken at least one film or TV production class OR students nearing the completion of a degree in FTVM OR international students pursuing a degree in FTVM.
Golder Awards
Multiple scholarships are awarded annually to transferring students who show great academic achievement and have a minimum GPA of 3.9. The students must also be involved both on and off campus.

Gorham Family Scholarship
Established in honor of Mrs. Judy Gorham in recognition of her dedicated service to the students of Glendale College. Awarded annually to a continuing student who is a single parent.
Grassi, Ann S. Memorial
Awarded to one or two students majoring in choreographic studies.
Greco, Theresa Memorial
Awarded in memory of Mrs. Greco, a long-time GCC employee and former president of the Glendale Patrons Club. Award is given to a female student with Music major.
Greenbaum, David Family Scholarship
Established by the former GCC Foundation President for a continuing student who has shown involvement on campus and within the community with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Grieg, Edvard-Lodge #74
This scholarships was established by the members of the Norwegian Lodge, Edvard Grieg Chapter 74, to help defray expenses while attending Glendale Community College
Grove, William C. Memorial
Established in memory of William C. Grove by his daughter Wendy Grove for a continuing student with engineering major.
Grumbley, Helen and Robert Memorial
A scholarship is donated by the friends and relatives of Helen and Robert Grumbley. This scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in the athletics with at least a 3.0 GPA and planning to attend a four-year institution.
Guilmette, Collin S. Memorial
A scholarship has been established by the Social Science Division in memory of Mr. Guilmette, a former history professor at GCC. The award will go to a transferring student who is majoring in history.

Hacopian, Vahe and Armine Scholarship
GCC Board of Trustees member, Armine Hacopian and husband Vahe, established this scholarship to help outstanding Latina and Armenian women transfer to four-year institutions. GPA 3.0 is required.
Hahn, Paul Memorial
This award established in memory of Paul Hahn by his family is given annually to a student majoring in History who is preferably a veteran of the U.S. Military.
Hamilton, Mary Memorial Scholarship
Family and friends established this scholarship in honor of Mary Hamilton, former President of the GCC Board of Trustees. Awarded each year to a woman in the Adult Re-entry Program who is transferring to a 4-year university. Four additional scholarships are also awarded to continuing students.
Hammer, Florence Miller
A scholarship is awarded to a continuing/transferring student who has exhibited outstanding leadership skills and provided service to the college and community. Funds for this scholarship have been donated by the family and friends of Florence M. Hammer to honor her dedicated service to the scholarship program and the Glendale Community College Foundation.
Haney Family Scholarship
In memory of George R. Haney and awarded annually to an athlete participating in either the Golf or Baseball team(s) at GCC, or to a student who is in the Fire Academy program.
Hansen, Mark David Memorial
Family and friends of former GCC student, Mark David Hansen, established this scholarship to assist continuing students in the Drug and Alcohol Studies Program.
Hanson, Lyle Memorial Scholarship
Awarded annually to a student majoring in Political Science who has shown academic achievement.
Haskins, Robert Memorial
A scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating student who is majoring in science or computer science.
Hawkins, Drake C. Scholarship in Political Science
A scholarship is awarded in honor of Drake Hawkins, professor of Political Science and Social Science Division Chair at GCC, to a student demonstrating excellence in political science. GPA 3.0 is required.
Hawley, Y. Diane
A scholarship is awarded to a first generation female student, majoring in Early Childhood Education.
Hedlund, John and Virginia

USC Verdugo Hills RN Student
