CHALLENGE POLICY

Once a student is taking a class, re-assessing for that subject is not allowed. Students who are not satisfied with their placements have the right to "challenge" their results with the individual departments. MATH CHALLENGE

A student wishing to challenge his/her Math Placement determined by high school GPA and course history, will be provided the opportunity to submit work. A set of Math problems will be given to the student to work and then will be reviewed. Students will have one opportunity to challenge their placement.

Algebra Readiness Challenge:

To be used by students that placed into Math 90+, but wish to take Math 90.
Algebra Readiness Problems

Transfer Readiness Challenge:

To be used by students that placed into Math 90/90+ but wish to take Math 100, 110A, 112.
To be used by students that placed into Math 100, 110A but wish to take Math 112.
To be used by students that placed into Math 136+ and wish to take Math 136.
Transfer Readiness Problems

Calculus Readiness Challenge:

To be used by students that placed into Math 110, 110A, 100, 112 that wish to take Math 103E Calculus I.
Calculus Readiness Problems

Note: Students must have previously passed Math Analysis or Pre-Calculus in High School.

Students are encouraged to review their Math skills using the sample problem packets prior to working the challenge problems.
