When scheduling your EOPS Counseling Appointment make sure that your appointment time:

  • Does not conflict with your class time
  • Does not conflict with any other appointments or responsibilities you may have at the same time.

On the appointment Day: Please be on time for your appointment and pick up the call from your counselor. The call will come from GCC. In case you get disconnected, you can get back to your counselor using a direct extension provided in the appointment reminder emailed to your college email account the night before your appointment.

During your counseling appointment: It is important that your counseling appointment takes place in a quiet location, where you will be fully engaged in your counseling session.

Your scheduled counseling appointment is for you only. During this time your personal academic record will be discussed.

In accordance with FERPA regulations, we cannot discuss a friend or family member's questions during your appointment.

NOTE: Please monitor your EOPS counseling meeting dates posted on your student portal. If you find that your last counseling visit date does not match your record, you will be expected to inform our office within one week from the time of your counseling visit in question. No corrections or adjustments will be made if it is not addressed within that week.
