Foster Youth Support Program provides support to current and/or former foster youth. The goal of the Foster Youth Support program is to assist students in their educational journey by providing a sense of community and a supportive environment at Glendale Community College. We support foster youth through financial and academic resources to ensure foster youth have every opportunity to succeed in higher education. The Foster Youth Support Program operates within the EOPS program and office at Glendale Community College.
Foster Youth Support Program Services
- Academic, Financial Aid, Transfer, and Career Counseling
- Development of Student Educational Plans
- Community enrichment activities and events
- Increased Sense of Belonging
- The opportunity to build community at GCC
- A supportive environment to help achieve your academic and personal goals
- Financial assistance to support with groceries
- Bookstore credit to help purchase books
- Transportation assistance, such as TAP cards, parking permits, and/or gas cards
- Textbook and technology loans
Foster Youth Support Program Eligibility
- Current and Former Foster Youth student at GCC
- Required: A ward of the court letter
- Enrolled in credit classes at GCC
- A completed EOPS application must be submitted
- An intake meeting with a Foster Youth Support Program Counselor
Join GGC’s Foster Youth Support Program
To be considered for the Foster Youth Support Program, students must submit an EOPS application. A Foster Youth Support Program representative will contact you after you submit your EOPS application. 1. Log in to your student portal MyGCC
2. Click on Other Services
3. Click on My EOPS Application
4. COMPLETE and SUBMIT
