Instructor Recommendation

Please complete this recommendation for a student you would like to mentor as an embedded tutor.

Embedded tutors are NOT TAs (no grading or teaching for you). Embedded tutors support -- synchronously and/or asynchronously -- students in your classes.
Embedded tutors are empathetic, currently-enrolled GCC students.
Faculty are NOT compensated financially for mentoring their embedded tutors, but embedded tutors are paid $15/hr, up to 10 hours per week. (Most faculty who have participated in the program report it is very helpful and rewarding.)
Embedded tutors must be hired through Job Placement and comply with all GCC guidelines for employees.
Faculty new to the program will be required to complete a short asynchronous training module.
Participants will be emailed more information.
