Student Equity designed La Comunidad as a learning community designed for GCC’s Latinx students . It helps minimize obstacles, promotes self-advocacy, allows students to explore their identities, amplifies student voices, and provides a sense of community. La Comunidad establishes a sense of community on campus to support Latinx students in forming relationships, remaining active, and getting the support they need to set and meet goals and remain on course for their academic objectives.

The mission of the DREAM Resource Center at Glendale Community College is to support an inclusive campus culture and to empower undocumented students to achieve academic and personal pursuits and become active members of our communities.

V.O.I.C.E.S undocumented and ally members supports AB 540 and undocumented students pursue higher education through fun involvement opportunities, transformative advocacy in the community, and strong networks. Student organized fundraiser profits go to scholarships specifically towards VOICES's AB 540 members. Aside from fundraising, V.O.I.C.E.S hosts and attends events in support of immigrant rights and other social issues on campus as well as off campus. Orgullo Latine is a student club designated for all Hispanic students on campus that was establised through GCC's Estudiantes Unidos program in 2023. Orgullo Latine was created to provide more opportunities for the Latinx community and allies.

The mission of Estudiantes Unidos is to inspire, engage, and empower Latinx students to become agents of change and advocates for all students at GCC.The program is designed as a dialogue between GCC Leaders, administrators, managers and the students in the program. Each week, participants will have an opportunity to learn about different areas of the campus and begin to look at the gaps in services they feel students need. Once participants have identified these needs, the group works to advocate and implement a project to achieve the desired goals and outcome.

Mentoring STEM Students of Color (MSTEM) is a mentorship program that matches students of color majoring in STEM with STEM faculty to collaborate on a project/activity for the academic year. Mentor and Mentee pairs meet at least three times per semester (Fall and Spring) to build rapport, leadership skills, and work towards the project completion. In addition to mentor/mentee pair meetings, the cohort will have events to engage with other pairs, share progress, and have discussions (cultural wealth, dealing with social anxiety, public speaking, etc.). The program concludes with a Culminating Event, which showcases the projects of the MSTEM mentor/mentee pairs and highlights their mentorship experience.

Team Internships at GCC are an exciting new opportunity for students to gain valuable career experience as they work to solve a real-life problem that a business partner is facing. Teams of student interns, PAID by the college, act as consultants to clarify the business challenge and help the business find a solution.
