Jump Start allows high school students to select courses offered in GCC's class schedule so long as prerequisites have been met. These courses allow students to get a "jump start" on their college education by receiving college credit for every passing grade they earn. Students participating in our Jump Start program will receive college credit only upon successful completion. Students need to consult with their high school counselors to see if high school credit can be applied.

Two weeks before each fall and spring semester, we email all enrolled students regarding a $100 book voucher to help pay for required textbooks. Funding is limited and is on a first come first serve basis. Once money runs out, we no longer have a voucher available. If students are waitlisted, they will not be able to redeem the book voucher until they are fully enrolled in a class. We do not offer a book voucher during the winter or summer sessions. Book voucher is only available for required textbooks and does not cover shipping costs if you chose to have a textbook mailed to desired location.

Book Voucher Instructions

1. Go to glendaleccshop.com
2. To find textbooks, click on textbooks on the website header 
3. Enter your GCC student ID Number and book information should populate
4. Click on your Required Materials and add to bag
5. Click check out once you are ready to pay
6. At the payment method option, choose "Financial Aid/Bookstore Credit" option to apply your voucher
   • Enter your student ID and confirm your Jump Start Book Voucher by clicking "Pay With This" 
   • You will enter your debit/credit card information if you need to pay a remaining balance
7. Review your bag and ensure you have listed the correct email information. You will receive an order confirmation at the email you provided once you have placed your order
   • Orders are fulfilled within 1-2 business days of being placed
   • You will be contacted through email once your textbook is ready for pick up at the GCC Bookstore

If you recently enrolled in a class and receive an error message trying to redeem our book voucher, email your GCC student ID # to dual@glendale.edu.
