The Data Science Community of Practice is to support the development of a new Data Science program at GCC to help grow students’ data literacy across disciplines. 

There are several ways to engage with this Community of Practice:

1. Participate in the 10-week Data 8 Test Lab exclusively for faculty in STEM or STEM-adjacent fields launching in Spring 2023

2. Collaborate with another faculty member to create a data-rich student learning module, with support from Bien in STEM, find examples and inspiration from the resources below:
   
   

   • Data Science Connector Courses at UC Berkeley

   • Data Science Modules from UC Berkeley 

   • Social Explorer - GCC Campus Guide

3. Build curriculum to support the development of GCC Data Science Certificate and/or Degrees (s.a. Ethics, Data Visualization, etc…)
