Starting Strong with Classroom Agreements

What does it take to set up a strong foundation for learning? One tool is using a community agreements or classroom norms process in the first week of classes and letting that be a foundation for students to engage with what creates the best learning environment.  This takes some getting used to! Come to this session to see how this is different from having expectations outlined in the syllabus and how to sustain the type of classroom that can engage more diversity of students and create a vibrant learning community. Or come to this session to hear about it again, see some models, and get ready to do it starting week 1 of fall semester!
