The state of California tracks students who complete community college CTE (career technical education) programs and enter the workforce. The table shows workforce placement (employment in the first year after college). Placement rates are measured for "leavers and completers," those students who completed at least one CTE course and earned at least 12 units in a CTE program area, or who earned a CTE degree or certificate, and who are not still enrolled at a community college. The table shows data aggregated across all CTE programs at GCC.

Beginning in 2008, each community college must negotiate a performance level with the state.
