Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Considerations in the Hiring Process training

 Finding, hiring and retaining diverse candidates while abiding by federal and state laws/regulations can be a challenge.  The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Consideration in the Hiring Process training, provided through Keenan Safe Colleges, contains an overview of lawful pre-hiring, hiring, and post-hiring strategies that will assist Glendale Community College District hiring committees with recruiting, selecting and retaining a diverse group of highly qualified applicants. This training covers a wide-range of topics including: 

• legal mandates pertaining to correcting statistical underrepresentation in the workplace, 
• best practices for hiring committees, 
• recruitment strategies that will broaden the pool of available candidates, and 
• opportunities for creating a workplace culture where all employees feel valued and welcomed.
