The Music Lab
The Music Lab will be OPEN for Fall semester from Tuesday, September 3rd through Wednesday, December 18th, 2024.
The Music Lab hours of operation during Fall semester are:

Catherine Card, Music Lab Supervisor is here for you!
Catherine Card, the Music Lab Supervisor is available on campus and online several hours a week to help you. She can help you with your coursework, any technical problems you may have, and can even meet with you on Zoom to assist you. All of this help is free! During the 2024 Fall semester, tutoring is available in-person!
We have two new tutors for Fall! Ellen Petrosyan and Hajime Araki, they are qualified to tutor for Music 101 and Music 201/211. Contact them via email to to schedule a tutoring time:

The new tutors can schedule hours when the Learning Center is open, which are:
Music 101, 201/211.
Students can reach the new music tutors through the tutoring center, and there are links in Canvas in all your courses. You can also send them an email to schedule a tutoring session. We hope you will take advantage of working with our new music tutors!

The Music Lab
- 21 student workstations each equipped with iMac Computers with a wide variety of up-to-date technology to use
- Serves as the central classroom and practice room for all music technology courses
Practice Rooms
- 8 private sound isolated practice rooms equipped with newer Boston upright pianos (Steinway brand) that can be checked out from the Music Lab
- 1 private sound isolated practice room equipped with a Steinway grand piano
Classrooms
- Each music classroom has a Steinway or a Boston grand piano
- Piano Lab
- 27 Korg digital keyboards, each equipped with pedals and headphones for private practicing
Music Technology
- 21 workstations with MIDI controller keyboards and Ableton Push instruments.

- Reason
- Studio One
- Audacity
- Plus many others
- Recording, Sequencing, and Live Sound Hardware Includes:
- SSL AWS 948 production console
- Neumann, Mackie, and Yamaha monitors
- Euphonix MC Control & MC Mix
- Yamaha CL5, QL5, and TL 1 consoles
- Shure ULX-D wireless system (24 channels)
- Focusrite RedNet interfaces with Dante integration
- Numerous MIDI controllers (guitar, drum, keyboard)
- A collection of microphones (AEA, AKG, Blue, Cascade, EV, Neumann, Rode, SE, Sennteiser, Shure)
- Analog & digital synthesizers & electronic instruments (Korg, Moog, Roland, Theremin, Yamaha, and many more)
- Other miscellaneous recording hardware
