Guitar Instructor

Ioannis Markoulakis, is a guitarist, composer and educator, originally from Athens, Greece. He received his Bachelor of Music in Performance from Berklee College of Music and his Master of Music (Studio Jazz Guitar) from the USC Thornton School of Music, where he was also appointed a Teaching Assistant, teaching applied guitar and Pop/Rock guitar courses.

He has performed and recorded with internationally renowned artists in venues such as the Wembley Arena in England, the LA Forum and the Microsoft theatre in Los Angeles, the Koln Arena in Germany, Le Trianon Theater in Paris, the Berklee Performance Center and in numerous concerts in the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

He has recorded extensively as a composer and studio musician, for music, film, TV, theatre, and commercials, for such films as Benji, Universal Pictures - Netflix, Worlds Apart, Cinema Libre - Amazon, and for clients including Disney, NBC, Nickelodeon, Starbucks, Honda, Toyota, and more. In addition to teaching courses at GCC, Ioannis holds a busy composing, recording and live performance schedule.
