Since 1974, Glendale Community College has been creating unforgettable learning adventures in Mexico’s Baja California peninsula. At the heart of this experience is our very own field station, “Estación del Mar Cortés,” a hub for hands-on exploration and discovery. Here, students don’t just study—they immerse themselves in the environment, conducting real-world research and engaging with the rich culture and natural beauty of Baja. Over the years, participants have explored marine biology, oceanography, geology, natural history, and even the history and philosophy of Baja California.
