Event Description: Recognition of Larry Itliong who was a Filipino American labor organizer and civil rights activist who played a key role in founding of United Farm Workers union. Today we remember and celebrate the lasting impact Itliong left especially in organizing and activist communities especially for Black Indigenous Communities of Color. Join us for a Solitary Silog with traditional Filipino breakfast items and community.

Event Description: Join GCC’s own Film and Media Arts Instructor, Carley Steiner, for an on-campus event celebrating short films. A curated series of short films by Filipina/o/x Filmmakers will be screened, followed by a discussion to think critically about the storytelling techniques, cultural influences, and historical contexts.
