This program is a learning community designed for GCC’s Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) students. This is a safe space where identities are explored and nurtured, and culture is celebrated. Participants will connect with their peers through our social mixers and events throughout the year. We are here to support you as you transition in and through college. APIDA students seeking community and support on campus should join.

Who qualifies?

• APIDA Students Currently Enrolled in Credit Classes at GCC
• Students earning their first college degree; students who have earned a bachelor's degrees or higher do not qualify

What APIDA Offers:

• Academic Counseling

• Social events to help make connections and build community

• Group meetings that offer opportunities to celebrate culture and ethnicity

• Celebration to acknowledge and recognize achievements

• Cultural field trips 

• University tours to explore transfer opportunities 

• Support with books and supplies 

• Basic needs support 
• Major and career exploration opportunities 
• A safe space to connect with peers, hang out, and study
