Current high school students taking GCC classes for the first time, follow the steps
below to apply and register for classes. Returning high school students with a GCC
ID# planning on taking classes, resubmit an Annual Digital Form as listed in Step
2.
The classes listed on the Dual Enrollment Class Offerings page may grant high school elective and college credit for students in the appropriate
school districts (GUSD & BUSD). If you decide to take a GCC class outside of this
list through our Class Schedule or do not attend either GUSD or BUSD, you will only get college credit upon successful completion. These are considered *Jump Start courses.
Jump Start course credits are not guaranteed to meet high school graduation credits.
You need to consult with your high school counselor to see if high school credit can
be applied before enrolling in Jump Start classes.
Click on "Apply to GCC" button - you will be directed to www.opencccapply.net
The entire step of applying to GCC has two parts.
Part 1: Log-in OR create an OpenCCC account
Part 2: Click on "Start a New Application" to submit a GCC application
After your GCC application is processed, you'll receive your GCC ID# via email. This
ID# is required for the next enrollment step, submitting your Annual Digital Form.
Email dual@glendale.edu if you haven't received you GCC ID# within 2-3 business days of submitting application.
Fill out the Digital Form with your first and last name and all required fields. Your
signature should also include your full name. You’ll need a personal email and a GCC ID#. After filling out the form through Adobe Sign, you’ll receive an email
to confirm your address—your form won’t be sent to your parent/guardian for their
signature until you complete this step. Once your parent/guardian has signed, your high school counselor will be the next to sign. Forms without a GCC ID# will be rejected, so email dual@glendale.edu if you need help. Once everyone signs, including GCC, it takes 2-3 business days for you to register. Completing this form is required for Summer/Fall 2025 class registration.
