Testing and Proctoring

Proctoring Center

Students can take exams in the Math Discovery Center (MDC) Proctoring Center on the Verdugo Campus. The Center is open to students in every subject, not only math and science. Use it to offer alternative test times for scheduling conflicts, give make-up exams, or provide in-person testing for online classes. Professional proctors administer exams and monitor students throughout.

Submit proctoring requests at least one business day before the exam date. Send requests to stemproctor@glendale.edu. See the MDC Proctoring Center page for hours, location, and the request form.

For students with approved testing accommodations, such as extended time or a distraction-reduced room, arrange testing through Disabled Students Programs and Services.

Make-up Exams

Students sometimes need to make up exams. Your syllabus should state your exam make-up policy clearly.

Instructors handle missed exams in different ways:

• Offer a make-up exam.
• Let students drop their lowest exam score, with no make-up offered.
• Replace a student's lowest exam score with their final exam score, when the final is higher.
