When students are ready to transfer to a four-year school, they consider many factors. While many students evaluate what educational and extracurricular opportunities will be provided, students who identify as LGBTQ+ must also consider if they will feel safe, respected, and welcomed. Therefore, it might be helpful for students of LGBTQ+ status to assess the following factors when exploring schooling options:
