Glendale Community College has been building study abroad programs since 1968 and formalized the program in 1992. GCC was one of the first community colleges to offer regular study abroad programs to unique locations such as Prague and Bali. Our students have experienced personal growth, developed cultural sensitivity and respect, overcame fears, and developed personal responsibility.

Programs at GCC are led by faculty who have been to the destinations themselves and these programs change yearly.

The programs are subject-specific and allow the faculty to directly relate their lectures to the destination country.

GCC currently offers short programs during the winter and summer breaks to various destinations with various transferable credit classes.
